Manor School - Early Years Centre
Early Years Centre
Manor School Early Years Centre (MSEYC) is situated on Bridge Road in Neasden
(NW10 9BX).
The centre originally opened in February 2021 as a three-class provision for 24 pupils. There are currently 32 pupils across four classes: Apple Class, Cherry Class, Mango Class and Peach Class.
As part of an exciting expansion project, an additional class, Pear Class, is scheduled to open in April 2026. This will increase the number of pupils at MSEYC to 40. The expansion will also include the addition of a multi-use room and a significant upgrade and enlargement of the already impressive outdoor learning area.
All pupils on roll have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and most have a diagnosis of Autism. Pupils attend school full time, with the school day beginning at 8:50am and finishing at 3:20pm. The ratio of pupils to adults in each class is 2:1.
Pupils at MSEYC follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework. However, all activities are carefully adapted so that learning is tailored to each child’s
individual starting point and developmental needs. The site is well resourced and features a large outdoor area which can be used throughout the year.
At Manor School, we believe that preparation for adulthood begins in the Early Years. Within the classroom there is a strong focus on developing functional communication and the essential skills needed for everyday life.
On Friday mornings, pupils visit the Kensal Rise site on Chamberlayne Road, where they take part in swimming, art, music and physical education before returning to MSEYC in time for lunch.
Each class benefits from the support of an assigned Speech and Language Therapist, an Occupational Therapist and an Inclusion Practitioner. Multi-professional working is firmly embedded within the provision, ensuring that pupils receive highly coordinated support and the best possible start to their statutory education.
Pupils attend MSEYC for one academic year. From September 2026 they will transition to either Manor School Kensal Rise (NW10 3NT) or Manor School Kilburn (NW6 5ST) to continue their learning journey in Key Stage 1.
For more information about our two primary sites (Years 1 to 6), please refer to the relevant webpages for Manor School Kensal Rise and Manor School Kilburn.
On a day-to-day basis the centre is led by Mala Neves. Other members of the school’s senior leadership team are also frequently on site to provide support and oversight.
