Help us make a difference at Manor School
Manor School provides exceptional education for primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), most of whom are autistic. We are committed to giving our pupils the best support, resources, and opportunities to thrive. To continue our outstanding provision, we need help. Donations can enhance sensory spaces, expand specialist equipment, and fund experiences that build skills, confidence, and independence.
We have four key fundraising priorities and appreciate any support. If you know anyone who might help, please spread the word. Thank you for your time.
1. Swimming Pool
We are incredibly fortunate to have a warm-water swimming pool, which has helped hundreds of pupils with SEND learn to swim and develop essential life skills. Many of our pupils cannot access community pools, making ours their only option. Our pool is also a valuable community resource. A structural engineer's report has revealed that significant repairs are needed to save the pool, with costs estimated at ~£450,000 - far beyond our budget. We are seeking support from charities and private organisations to help fund these vital works.
2. School Playground
Manor School playground is a vital space where pupils play, learn, and regulate their sensory needs. With a bike and scooter area, climbing frame, slide, swing, and trampoline, it offers a fun and engaging environment. However, after more than a decade, it is deteriorating. Despite ongoing maintenance, significant renovation is needed. With limited school funds, we are seeking support to raise ~£175,000 to restore the playground to the standard our pupils deserve.
3. School Minibus
Regular community access enables our pupils to engage with important learning outside the classroom and helps them develop the resilience, confidence, and independence they need to become active and successful members of society. We are therefore hoping to raise ~£70,000 for an additional trust minibus, which would serve the pupils across all of our schools to access the community more frequently.
4. Special Yoga
A number of pupils across our trust benefit from accessing Special Yoga on a weekly basis. Special Yoga provides significant benefits, including: emotional wellbeing, physical development, improved focus and aids transitions between activities. Our schools currently fund Special Yoga. However, in the face of growing financial pressures, we are hoping to fundraise or secure a sponsorship of ~£20,000 so that our pupils can benefit from Special Yoga for many more years to come.
